It’s possible that the last time you logged in to your membership profile you may have noticed a few changes. A major project has been under development recently by Stan Barnes of Bookings Essential to update and upgrade the whole member experience.
The main objective was to create an area that is finally mobile & tablet friendly, but we’ve also taken the opportunity to streamline key areas to improve the user experience and also integrate design features from the PAA website.
The first thing you may notice, apart from the frame now fitting on your device, is that the fixed left hand menu has been replaced by a neat hamburger style menu in the top left of the header bar which expands when clicked.
There are a couple of new additions to the top of the menu – a Home link will now take you back to the main website, and there’s a new Logout option. It’s a bit surprising to realise we didn’t have one before!
Document uploads is now a dedicated page at the bottom of the menu and is now the only place to upload your documents. Hopefully this will reduce the confusion when renewing insurance, first aid or uploading PDP documents. Of course, you will still be asked to upload documents when renewing annually or upgrading, but the dedicated document upload link is the one to use for general mid-membership uploads.
Observant members might notice that a few pages seem to have disappeared: Associated Studio Details and Development Points have been incorporated into the Member Details section. Communications has been removed completely as we now have an external helpdesk solution for email, using Helpscout.
Health Fund Status has been removed as an individual page as fewer funds now offer provider numbers that we can track. However, your BUPA provider numbers will still be displayed beside your associated studio in the Member Details section.
The Business section has been renamed to Resources, and includes an exciting new area for activation details of Member Benefits, as well as a Document Library that will be filled with useful guidelines, templates and other resources. PAA logos & information on branding and how our logos should be displayed can also be found in this section.
Finally, Support has its own section at the bottom of the menu & will soon include a new FAQ with information about PAA membership and using the online system.
There are also quite a few major changes to the functionality of the interface, most of which are behind the scenes or barely noticeable, but one obvious one is that you can now add a non-listed studio directly to your profile without having to send the details to us for adding to the listings.
The new developments were launched to our website a few weeks ago and after a few minor technical issues are now running smoothly. We are very keen to hear about your experiences with the new interface, love it or hate it, and definitely need to hear should you be having any recurring issues: mail to:support@pilates.org.au
