International Presenters Announced
We are thrilled to welcome two amazing international presenters to the PAA Conference 2025, 12-14 September at the ICC, Sydney. Both bring a wealth of experience, insight, and passion for Pilates education, ensuring an enriching experience for everyone.
Classical Pilates Educator, Mentor, and Presenter
Karen Frischmann is a leading voice in classical Pilates education, known for her ability to help teachers deepen their understanding of the original Pilates method. With decades of experience, she has mentored hundreds of instructors worldwide, guiding them to refine their teaching, master the classical repertoire, and develop a keen eye for movement.
As the creator of Classical Progressions, a 15-month graduate program, Karen provides an immersive and structured approach to studying Pilates in its purest form. She also leads The Mastery Series, a monthly membership for teachers seeking ongoing mentorship and professional development. A sought-after presenter, she has been invited to share her expertise at international conferences and workshops, where she is known for her clarity, depth of knowledge, and engaging teaching style.
Karen’s approach is rooted in the belief that Pilates is an evolving practice—one that requires both discipline and creativity. While the method itself remains unchanged, she embraces modern technology and online learning to make classical education more accessible. Her work ensures that today’s Pilates professionals can carry forward the integrity of the method while leveraging modern tools to enhance their learning and teaching.
When she’s not teaching, Karen enjoys rowing, knitting, and exploring architecture. She is currently based in Los Angeles.
A lifelong mover, Cody’s journey has taken her from rodeo barrel racing and dance to becoming a highly respected Pilates educator. She earned her comprehensive certification through the Midwest Pilates Institute in 2005 and holds a Master’s of Kinesiology from A.T. Still’s Graduate School of Health Sciences, specialising in orthopaedic rehab and adaptive sports.
In 2022, she founded Anatomy of Pilates, a virtual education platform dedicated to anatomy and post-rehab training for Pilates instructors. Cody’s teaching philosophy focuses on movement principles over rigid protocols, empowering instructors to think critically and adapt to individual client needs.
