Announcing our final three international presenters
Following our announcement that Cara Reeser, Jeremy Laverdure and Elaine Ewing will be joining us 3 – 5 September, we are excited to announce another three international presenters. Please join us in welcoming Benjamin Degenhardt, Sean Gallagher and Fran Hoyte to the line up of the 2021 PAA Conference.

Benjamin Degenhardt is the founder of 360° Pilates, an education platform that combines live and online learning to bring the original Pilates method to life. He has been involved in Pilates and movement education for 20 years and developed his perspective on Pilates by synthesizing historical research on Joseph Pilates’ method with a modern understanding of movement, health and fitness training.
Benjamin presents his work at conferences and training facilities around the world. Additionally, Benjamin is a frequent guest teacher on Pilates Anytime, has been featured in Pilates Style Magazine and the documentary “Tribute to Joseph Pilates”, and is the mastermind behind the annual social media campaign “March MATness”.

Sean P. Gallagher (BFA, PT, CPT, CFP, MS) is the owner and master physical therapist of Performing Arts Physical Therapy, and a master Pilates teacher and Teacher of Teachers at his studio, The New York Pilates Studio®. He developed the first comprehensive, professional teacher training program and manual, along with Romana Kryzanowska and was instrumental in getting the Pilates method recognised and taught around the world, which included bringing Romana and classical Pilates to Australia originally, over 2 decades ago.
Sean is also the owner of the largest collection of Joseph Pilates’ copyrighted archival material and has three published books, “The Pilates Method of Body Conditioning” , “The Collected Works of Joseph Pilates” and “The Joseph H. Pilates Archive Collection”. He is the creator and founder of, and main presenter at Pilates at The Pillow™, a Pilates Source® conference for Pilates studio teachers at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival in Becket MA.
Sean is the 5th owner of Joe’s original studio business as well as his original property, which includes his bungalow and studio, in the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts. He is restoring the property, which will become the first Pilates museum and working studio- a destination for Pilates teachers worldwide.

Fran is a Pilates and movement educator and a clinical research manager enjoying both careers in parallel for 30+ years. She is trained in traditional and contemporary Pilates (Power Pilates 2002 & Kane School) and has been part of the Kane School/Kinected Faculty since 2008. ACE AFAA 1988.
Fran has been a pharmaceutical clinical research manager (oncology, pulmonary, CNS therapeutic areas) and started as a bench chemist in 1989 (BS Chemistry). She continues to consult in clinical research with a focus on training, and in helping executive management teams communicate skillfully and successfully.
Fran is a passionate presenter and speaks at Pilates Method Alliance, Swedish Institute in NYC, and yoga and Pilates Teacher-Training Programs. She owns Saugatuck Studios in Westport, CT, USA which is the first branch of Kane School. Her movement teachers have included Bob Liekens, Phoebe Higgins, Kathy Grant, Ron Fletcher, Kelly Kane, Tom Meyers, Eric Franklin, Mary Bowen, Jill Miller.
Fran facilitates workshops on embodied voice and speech for both movement teachers and Pharma companies and associations. Her work is heavily rooted in Fitzmaurice Voicework and Knight-Thomson Speech work, and her teachers include voice and speech luminaries including: Catherine Fitzmaurice, Kristin Linklater, Andrea Caban, Joanna Cazden.
