At the AGM we said farewell to our much loved and long standing secretary, Mary McArthur, who celebrates 9 years of continuous service on the Committee.
During her three terms on the committee Mary made many contributions, here we highlight just a few…
Firstly, her patience and precision in recording the minutes of our somewhat complex discussions in meetings requires the greatest thanks. Nobody realises what a difficult task it is until they’ve had to do it themselves.
Mary’s untiring eye for detail has also been instrumental in the professionalism of the PAA’s written communications; as an editor and proofer she is a grammar wizard!
Thirdly, being our constitution guru, she has been more than able to answer every query in relation to all things constitutional and therefore guide the committee to best practise governance.
Most recently Mary’s work as part the advocacy sub committee resulted in the door to the Health Minister’s office being opened to the PAA, in response to the current Health Fund changes.
From all current and past committee members and on behalf of our members, we would love to thank Mary for her humour, wit and energy. For her 9 years of service on the Committee showing dedication and commitment to Pilates and the PAA, Mary is awarded lifetime membership of the PAA.
