Malcolm’s Farewell

MALCOLM BOULTER

MALCOLM BOULTER

Director of Pilates on Pines, Drysdale, VIC.

Malcolm Boulter joined the PAA committee in 2011. He arrived with a generous spirit and keen desire to give to the Pilates community. Over his three-year term, Malcolm has played an integral part in reworking Policy and Procedures and in the rewriting of our Constitution – a long and onerous task. Malcolm has also kept the committee grounded and focused on the task in hand and he is largely responsible for the development of the website as we know it today.

Over the past 12 months, Malcolm’s commitment to the PAA reached near full time capacity as he continued work on the development of the PAA membership online system, a system that has been built from the ground up to suit the growing needs of our association.

Elements of this system include:

  • Online membership renewal
  • Electronic payment options
  • Document uploading
  • Automated PDP accrual
  • Automated reminders
  • Data collection and graphing to demonstrate trends
  • Email blasts
  • User friendly advertising
  • The PAA Newsletter
  • Broadening the profile of the PAA internationally.

On a personal basis, Malcolm and I have had many conversations, many late night phone calls and early morning emails. We have had our differences of opinion, but at the end of the day Malcolm’s integrity and sense of purpose never waivered – even when decisions were made that he disagreed with.

Although Malcolm is stepping down from the committee in person today, his legacy will remain in action each and every time we log in to our membership data base and every time an automated reminder or email hits our devices.

All the very best Malcolm and may I thank you on behalf of the PAA for all your hard work, dedication and commitment to our association and to the wider Pilates community.
