From the Committee 23 April 2021
The PAA Committee met via Zoom last Friday, 23 April. The committee worked through updates on all current projects with the 2021 Conference being one of our major projects at the moment.
PAA CONFERENCE 2021
The conference is set for Sept 3, 4, 5 (Fri, Sat, Sun) , all workshops will be available virtually and classes will be offered both virtually and in person.
We are working behind the scenes to finalise presenters and there was a great response to the recent call for national presenters; there are up to 10 spots for national presenters, plus opportunities for class presenters. Conference registration will be opening in the coming weeks.
Special opportunities for exhibitors and sponsors will be released soon.
Contact support@pilates.org.au if you want to exhibit or sponsor at the PAA conference and we will send the prospectus as soon as it is released.
MEMBER VOLUNTEERS
In our latest survey, there was a strong response from members wishing to contribute to PAA in a variety of ways, including writing or sourcing articles, hosting meetups or helping at events and mentoring. We are following up with each of these volunteers to get them involved. Let us know if you are passionate about an area and discuss how you can participate and support the work of the PAA committee and sub-committees.
For members who responded with an interest in mentoring we held a discussion last month and distributed questions about being a mentor and what it means to them. There are several members keen to form a working party to help develop a format for a PAA mentoring program, if you would like to be involved please email sharan@pilates.org.au
MEMBER WEBINARS
The PAA and COM marketing webinar series has continued this year, with monthly topics scheduled. A huge thank you to Richard Toutounji for educating and motivating members to take action to market and grow their business. The next webinar, “How To Create Facebook Pilates Ads That Convert“, will be held on 20 May at 2.30pm. Watch out for your email invitation, registrations open soon.
We are keen to hear what you would like to know more about or hear your ideas for other webinars or discussions on topics of interest. Please email support@pilates.org.au with your ideas for topics and presenters.
MEMBER RESOURCES
Survey results and member feedback help us develop and prioritise projects and new committee members Daniela Di Fabio and Andree Upton are currently working on several resources for members, the first of these will be released soon.
