  • has enough detail for the selection committee to clearly visualise the resulting workshop/class

Your resume should include as much relevant detail as possible, including specialised qualifications and any previous experience as a presenter.

Each application must be accompanied by a detailed proposal that describes the content of the workshop. Your outline should include the following:

  • Content summary: Describe what will happen during the proposed session. Detail 4 or 5 key concepts that you will cover, the flow of content delivery, what activities/repertoire will be used to develop your concepts. Additional information might include: How will you engage your audience? What issues does the session address? Is the material new to Australia? Does it build upon your previous work or will you refer to any new research?
  • Learning outcomes: Explain what the participant will take away from the session. What strategies are there to achieve the learning outcomes?
  • Focus: Tell us who the session is directed at… e.g. new graduates, experienced instructor, business owner, etc. Do they need background experience to attend?
  • Experience: share any relevant experience you have of presenting a workshop (rather than just a standard class)
