Student membership is available to all students enrolled in PAA recognised courses, providing students with the opportunity to be part of the wider Pilates community and keep up to date with industry news and events. Students enjoy an extended PAA membership period of 18 months in which to complete their study, simply upload a copy of your course enrollment or registration form when appying for your Student membership.

Courses run by PAA recognised training organisations are listed here: https://www.pilates.org.au/education/accredited-courses/

PAA student members are also eligible for Graduate Level 1 membership on Diploma graduation, which offers the same benefits as Level 1 membership at a discount.

Ongoing professional development is a requirement for PAA membership

There is a strong and diverse professional development schedule of approved workshops in all states this year and with the PAA conference in October there are plenty of options to complete your PDPs.  Workshops are listed for each state here https://www.pilates.org.au/education/workshops/  Click on the tab at the top for your state to see the workshops available.

Full Members require 20 PDPs (Mat members require 15 PDPs) every 2 years to demonstrate ongoing professional development and this is aligned with your membership renewal every second year. You can keep track of your current PDP status through your online member file. It is best practice to upload workshop certificates as soon as completed so you have an accurate count of PDPs.

There are many ways to accrue PDPs and you can review your options here https://www.pilates.org.au/pdp-accrual-table/

If the course you’ve attended isn’t listed on the PAA website don’t despair! Make sure you upload a full course outline and the presenter biography along with your certificate and it will be assessed to see if it’s eligible for PDP approval.
