With the new name, Pilates Association Australia, comes new branding and a new website featuring Pilates imagery.
With the new PAA website we really want to better represent our membership base and the diverse nature of Pilates. So, we are looking for new imagery to enhance our vision of Pilates in Australia.
And we would like your help. Who better to illustrate a genuine and inspiring vision of Pilates than our own members!
Rather than another staged photo shoot, our ideal would be to include a mix of images/video of members’ classes and studios to show the diversity of our industry:
- to represent the diverse range of teachers and clients who engage in Pilates
- a diverse range of settings to fully represent our members
If you’d like to support this project by sharing your Pilates imagery and video please get in touch ASAP: support@pilates.org.au
Here are some guidelines we’ll be considering during the selection process:
Content guidelines
- images and/or video
- to represent the diverse range of teachers and clients who engage in Pilates (sizes, life stages, differently abled, ethnicity, gender, etc)
- a diverse range of settings to fully represent our members – studios large and small, inside, outside, group classes, privates, semis, whatever you teach!
- variety of exercises/teaching situations
- variety of equipment – classic and contemporary
- highlight teaching and the interaction of teacher and client
- you must hold the copyright or permission to use the media
- If selected for use, everyone featured in the photo/video must also give permission for inclusion on the PAA website
Quality guidelines
- quality imagery – but doesn’t necessarily have to be a professional studio shoot
- large size originals (e.g. 3000px x 3000px)
- any format (portrait, landscape, square, etc.)
- natural or well-lit environments
- watch your backgrounds, try and keep them simple or clear
